Byers Joins Trust Company of Oklahoma
TULSA, Okla. (August 8, 2012) –Trust Company of Oklahoma has hired Ben R. Byers as a senior vice president in the Central Oklahoma Division.
“It gives me great pleasure to announce that Ben has joined the TCO family,” Trust Company President and Chief Executive Officer Tom Wilkins said. “Ben’s experience managing the assets of Oklahoma City families is second to none.”
Byers has been in the banking and trust industry for 35 years. Before joining TCO, Byers spent eight years as a senior vice president at Heritage Trust Company in Oklahoma City. Prior to that, he was a personal trust manager for Bank of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City.
Byers earned his bachelor’s degree from The University of Oklahoma in 1973. In addition, he is a Leadership Oklahoma City Class IV graduate.
Active in the community, Byers currently serves on the Salvation Army Advisory Council and the INTEGRIS Foundations Planned Giving Council. Additionally, he is president of the Delta Tau Delta House Corporation at the University of Oklahoma. He is also a member of the Oklahoma City Estate Planning Council.
In the past, Ben served as president of the Catholic Foundation, Western Plains Division and Arch Chapter member of Delta Tau Delta international fraternity. He has been involved with various boards, including Oklahoma City All Sports Association, Rebuilding Together, Parents Assistance Center, and Boys & Girls Club.
